new urban ecosystem
[academic project: spring semester 2021] --This project focuses on gaps in the urban landscape and aspires to highlight a new urban system composed of reactivated spaces in a neighbourhood. Inspired by the intertemporal idea of “hortus conclusus”, the design intended to create a network of peculiar ephemeral structures that share similar fundamentals. They all are enclosed all around and open to the sky, with water and plants existing in peculiar ways. By designing customized areas this project aims at attracting visitors and giving them the opportunity to observe and relax. The garden, the lake and the recreation ground depict places of intimacy and create a buffer zone where one can explore new dimensions of the urban landscape.
